Rabbit Plasma and Serum are obtained from rabbits of French origin.
Rabbit Plasma: blood is collected with an anti-clotting agent (EDTA or sodium citrate). Rabbit Plasma is then separated from the heavy part of the blood by centrifugation and sterilized through a 0.2 µm membrane.
Rabbit Serum: blood is collected and put on to clot, the liquid phase is collected by exudation and centrifuged. Obtained Rabbit Serum is then sterilized by filtration through a 0.2 µm membrane (without any preservative).
